Hanna Francis, APRN

Hanna began her nursing career in 2018 at Florida Hospital (now AdventHealth) Orlando in the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit where she cared for patients with advanced heart failure, ventricular assist devices, heart transplantation, and other cardiac conditions. After being there for 3 years, she transferred to the Advanced Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit at AdventHealth where she cared for complex and critically ill patients with various cardiothoracic conditions requiring cardiac and ventilatory life support, and cardiovascular surgery, including patients on extracorporeal membrane oxygenation therapy, patients with pulmonary embolism, and patients before and after heart and lung transplantation surgery. During her time there, she became certified as a Critical Care Registered Nurse.

With a passion for learning and professional growth, Hanna returned to the University of Central Florida and obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree as a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner in August 2023. She has returned to UCF and is currently pursuing her Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification. She is board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner with the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is also a member of the American Nurses Association, Florida Nurses Association, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

Hanna completed her final clinical rotation with FLASS in the summer of 2023, where she discovered an affinity for Pulmonary Medicine. Hanna joined FLASS in January 2024 as an APRN. She believes the journey to wellness and health is a collaborative effort between providers and patients. Hanna is committed to whole-person care, working with patients to develop a care plan best suited for them.
