Dr. Oluyemisi Amoda is a board-certified physician in Pulmonary Medicine. She earned her
medical degree in Nigeria before relocating to the United States to continue her training. She
completed her Internal Medicine residency at Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in
Brooklyn, New York, and went on to pursue fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care
Medicine at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
Dr. Amoda cares for patients with a broad spectrum of lung and breathing conditions, including
asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, sarcoidosis, and sleep
disorders. She is also highly experienced in critical care, providing advanced treatment for
patients with life-threatening illnesses in the ICU. Her training includes proficiency in
procedures such as bronchoscopy, thoracentesis, chest tube placement, and expertise in
mechanical ventilation.
Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Amoda has published and presented research at national
conferences, with particular focus on interstitial lung disease. She also holds dual master’s
degrees in Public Health and Health Administration from the University of South Florida,
underscoring her commitment to advancing care both at the bedside and within healthcare
systems.
