We pause in our usual blog coverage of the latest in lung disease treatment and research, to bring you our best wishes for your Labor Day Week-end. We celebrate the lives of 155 million American workers who enrich our country today. We celebrate with picnics, parties, cook-outs and mini-vacations.
Labor Day is the official close of the summer season. This summer, which we have called our “Summer of Amazement,” we have brought you good news of special research to encourage patients with lung disease. We have also brought you information about new physicians who have joined our staff: Dr. Don Elton, M.D., F.C.C.P. and Dr. Irtza Sharif, M.D., F.C.C.P.
For us, another big piece of summer news has been the opening of a new location to better serve our communities.
Now we bring you Labor Day good wishes from both our beautiful Florida locations. The doctors and staff in both our Poinciana Office ( 4553 Pleasant Hill Road, Poinciana, FL 34759,) and our Celebration office (400 Celebration Place, Suite A110, Celebration, FL 34747,) send you their hopes for a happy, healthy, and safe Holiday.
Also in honor of our “Summer of Amazement, 2013,” and especially For this Labor Day week-end, we introduce a little blog mascot for the Lung Doctors. We call him “Chest-er,” and he will bring you a smile and some healthy hints once in a while.
Sure, we want you to have a good time at your Labor Day party or cookout, but we known that you will be driving at a time of year when the traffic is very dangerous.
Chester and the Florida Lung Doctors recommend you either hire transportation or give your keys to a sober designated driver. It’s about your life and the lives of your friends. We lost 10,000 people to car crashes involving alcoholin 2010. 394 of them crashed during the Labor Day Week-end.
Obviously, his healthy hint for this week-end is , “Drink responsibly!”
So, our mascot pup brings you his best advice. We thank you for following our blog, and we hope you return to discover new developments at our offices, and where ever doctors are finding new and wonderful ways to combat lung diseases. As summer fades into fall, the Amazement of 2013 continues. It seems like every day, scientists around the world are bringing us new ways to help you breathe better, longer! You won’t want to miss next week when we reveal the facts about the newest research involving lung cancer and collagen.
