Spirometer TestFree Spirometry Testing!

During this event, we will be featuring “free Spirometry testing” for attendees interested.  For those patients or interested parties who are suffering from shortness of breath or any lung difficulty, this is a perfect time to have this test administered.  The spirometry test will be able to determine how well your lungs are functioning, and the severity of any lung condition you may not be aware of.  This could be your “wake up call” to find out more and to discover ways to deal with the problem.

Some of the values measured by the Spirometry test.

  • FEV (Forced expiratory volume) measures the amount you can exhale in one breath.
  • FVC (This refers to forced vital capacity) measuring the amount of air you can exhale after you take a deep breath
  • PEF (Peak expiratory flow) measures how quickly you can exhale.
  • MVV (Maximum voluntary ventilation) measuring the largest amount of air you can breathe in and out in one minute.
  • FRC (Functional residual capacity) measures the air left in your lungs at the end of a normal breath.

A simple explanation about Spirometry testing:
.

Young Person being tested with a SpirometerIn simple terms, the spirometry test measures airflow. As you inhale and exhale, the device will test the level of efficiency of your lungs.  If a condition is suspected, the Florida Lung Doctors will schedule a visit to follow-up with you and develop a treatment plan for you. The Spirometry test can evaluate a broad spectrum of lung diseases and breathing issues.

The test is a very easy one.  You will be seated and breathe into a mouthpiece connected to the device.  Both young tolerate the test easily,  and it has proven itself over and over as a great asset in determining lung function.

We look forward to seeing you at our Grand Opening.  The address for our new facility is 4553 Pleasant Hill Road, Poinciana, FL  34759.
